French grain office ONIC has received offers to sell 196,710 tonnes of wheat into intervention stores in the past week, taking total grain offers above one million tonnes, ONIC figures showed on Monday. Net grain offers now totalled of 1,008,300 tonnes, comprising 805,600 tonnes of wheat, 119,000 tonnes of barley and 83,700 tonnes of maize, ONIC said. The European Union's intervention stores open between November 1 and the end of May and, so long as quality standards are met, farmers can sell their grain for a guaranteed price of 101.31 euros a tonne, plus a 0.46 euro monthly bonus.
